Les nœuds de la vie | The Knots of Life
A room of our own. For five days.
From 9 to 13 November, the French poet Gabrielle Bernoville and I are moving into the Maison Poème in Brussels with ink, paper, and heads and hands full of ideas.
During this artistic residency, we’ll bring the poems from our two books together with ink painting, and see what happens when words and brushstrokes share a page. Les nœuds de la vie | The Knots of Life looks at the invisible threads that tie us to each other and shape who we are: childhood, care, desire, grief, the people and relationships that made us.
We’ll research, write, paint and hang words on the walls. What will come out of it? We don’t know yet. But on Friday 13 November, we’ll open the door and give it back to you.
