These days I’m temporarily time-traveling to Hanoi while walking through summer in Brussels.

Undecided Productions invited me to be part of the Time & Realities* residency, and collaborating long-distance with sound artist Tomes and the curator/maker Elise in Vietnam. In every residency I start something new, inspired by the people I’m meeting, the process, the journey — this time it is painting and making poetry to sound. Thanks to the intimacy of voice messages and the being in touch at all hours of the day this residency feels a lot like living in a shared space.

For the coming months I will be working with the curator team Bill Nguyen, Mary Lou David, Thao-Linh Dinh & Undecided, composing new works in collaboration with Minh-Hoang Nguyen, Thuy Anh Dang, Tomes and Pham Nguyen Anh Tu. The exhibitions where this project will be presented have been postponed to autumn.

*Time & Realities is a project kindly supported by The Goethe-Institut Hanoi (via the ReConnect program) and The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) (via Mobility First!)
